Sen. Hillary Clinton endorses Tonello's bid for State Senate

New York Sen. Hillary Clinton today endorsed John Tonello in the race for the 53rd District State Senate seat.

"John Tonello has the passion, commitment and leadership to bring about real advances in the region," Clinton said. "That's what he's done as mayor and that's what he will do in the State Senate.

"John's background in business and higher education, as well as his experience as the mayor of Elmira, has prepared him to face the challenges we see daily, and to come up with real solutions to better serve the people of Upstate New York.

"John supports state investment in order to create and develop good jobs and good opportunities for economic growth, and he understands the need to invest in state infrastructure. I know that John will be a powerful voice for you and your family and I look forward to continuing my work with John as a State Senator."
