Empire State Regional Council of Carpenters endorses Tonello
The Empire Station Regional Council of Carpenters, an affiliate of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America that represents 15,000 carpenters across the State of New York from Montauk to Buffalo, has endorsed John Tonello's bid for the 53rd District state Senate seat.
"It is clear that you will be the best representative for the working men and women of the empire State Carpenters," said the Council's Julie Miner. "Our members work hard every day to earn a living, and we know that you will work hard for them."
Tonello said the endorsement underscores his commitment to the middle-class working men and women of Chemung, Schuyler, Steuben, Tompkins and Yates counties that make up the 53rd District.
"I'm particularly proud of this endorsement because it's made by the men and women who work right here in our area, not the faceless voices of union bosses based in Albany or New York City," Tonello said. "I'm committed to the kind of pro-growth, pro-labor policies that will keep New York's carpenters working hard and building New York's future."
